Cat survival in winter

Every winter, millions of feral and stray cats struggle to survive outdoors. According to animal welfare groups, up to 60% of homeless cats don’t make it through harsh winters, especially in regions where temperatures drop below freezing. These cats—often born outside or abandoned—face cold, wet conditions without shelter, warmth, or protection from wind and snow.

Low temperatures & cold rain

A cat’s normal body temperature is around 38–39°C (100–102°F), but when exposed to freezing temperatures, it can quickly fall below safe levels. Without a dry, insulated place to rest, hypothermia and frostbite become life-threatening risks. Even the most resilient outdoor cats suffer in silence—searching for warmth under cars, porches, or in unsafe spots.

A Little Care Brings Hope

For many compassionate cat lovers, knowing that a small act of care can bring comfort and safety to a vulnerable animal brings deep peace of heart. Because no cat deserves to face the cold alone ❤️🐾
